Many community residents volunteer their time, talents and energies to serve the medical center and its patients. Our volunteers assist on patient units, serve as couriers, work in the Gift Shop and perform clerical duties. If you have a strong desire to help others, are at least 14 years old and can donate your time on a regular basis (at least three hours a week), Muhlenberg’s volunteers have a place for you. Call today to find out more about how to become a Muhlenberg volunteer.

Muhlenberg’s Vascular Surgery Department offers the complete spectrum of diagnostic and treatment procedures for an array of vascular conditions, from varicose veins to ulcerations. The Towbin Non-invasive Vascular Laboratory diagnoses circulatory (vascular) diseases painlessly, using blood pressure, ultrasound and venous mapping rather than injections or other invasive procedures. Non-invasive arterial evaluation with life sciences equipment also is available. Vascular testing can determine diseases leading to stroke, the existence of blood clots, and the efficiency of blood flow to arms, legs and the head.

When surgery is needed to correct vascular problems, patients can choose from a highly qualified group of vascular surgeons on Muhlenberg’s medical/dental staff.
